We collected items for a local homeless shelter and animal shelter in our city over the past week. There were probably at least 5 students who chose to focus on homelessness for their individual projects so it obviously resonated with a lot of the group.
With only 6 days to collect I want sure how we’d do but I knew any donation would be appreciated. I’m so proud to say we collected 1400 food items for the shelters! I am so proud of my school and the students in the program!
Today we loaded the items up and delivered them to Chattanooga Rescue Mission and the Humane Educational Society. I think we can say it was a success!
Tomorrow we will have our showcase and although I’m excited to celebrate their hard work I am also sad our time is coming to an end!
