About My Voice

My Voice is a program that empowers upper elementary students to use their voice and initiate changes in their school, community and more. Our goal is to create student leaders who become active vocal members of their community. We want to empower them to advocate for themselves and the world around them.

The program was created by Erika Martin, a teacher in Chattanooga. The idea was developed through her participation in PEF’s Teacherpreneur Incubator in fall of 2018. The first cohort of students began working in January 2019 culminating with the Student Showcase May 17th at East Brainerd Elementary.
